Thanks for always covering our backs and making us look like superstars.
Take the glory back.
Thanks for allowing us to experience what it is to love those in Rideau Heights before exposing us to the reality of Nicaragua. Thanks for showing us just exactly how hard love can be.

Persevere
6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
they will never be silent day or night.
You who call on the LORD,
give yourselves no rest,
they will never be silent day or night.
You who call on the LORD,
give yourselves no rest,
7 and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem
and makes her the praise of the earth.

Micah 6:6-8
6 With what shall I come before the LORD
and bow down before the exalted God?
Shall I come before him with burnt offerings,
with calves a year old?
7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams,
with ten thousand rivers of oil?
Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression,
the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
8 He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

Romans 12:4-8
4Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his[b]faith. 7If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; 8if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.
1 Peter 4:10-11
10Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. 11If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Dear Jesus,
In this time of searching and praying for You to assemble a team to go to Nicaragua, I pray that You would make us parituclarly sensitive to Your Spirit stirring in us and shaping us for the roles You have planned for us to take in this project. I pray for wisdom and discernment for the leaders, courage and conviction for the applicants, humility, passion, and a spirit of encouragement for those called to stay and support the team in prayer, in finances, and encouragement. Please help us to be faithful to You and faithful in our service to others. Make us so aware of Your grace in our lives that our lives cannot help but respond in an outpour of love to You, Lord. I pray that the Spirit would stir within us, collectively, a passion for Your name to be lifted up and Your love to be shown throughout this world and also specifically in Nicaragua. We trust in Your provision and in Your love for us. Be lifted up, Jesus.
In Your Name, Amen.
in my life, be lifted high in our love, be lifted high in our world, be lifted high... unify us, purify us, so that we may change the world
